山の花は、多治見をはじめとする「東濃」で作られるやきものを常設販売する器のセレクショップです。作家モノを中心に、地元メーカーの工業製品やオブジェまで幅広く取り扱い、東濃のやきもののクオリティの高さと多様性を楽しむことができます。やきものを介して、人と物、器と 暮らし、作家と使い手など、有機的につながる光景は陶器の成り立ちにどこか似ている気がします。産地として永く続く文化をつなぐ一助となれるよう。そして山の花をきっかけに、訪れる人がこの地のやきものと出合えますように。
YAMA NO HANA stocks a range of ceramic objects: from durable tableware to fine art sculptural ceramics. The pieces have been curated so you may enjoy the abundance of individual artisans styles, the variety of manufacturing methods, and the quality of ceramics that come from Tajimi. YAMA NO HANA aims to connect people to ceramics, tableware to lifestyles, and makers to users. We hope to create a space where these interactions can unfold organically, allowing people to engage with the historic ceramic culture of Tajimi through our store.
山の花のロゴで使われているシンボルマークは、陶器の主な素材である「土」「水」「石」で構成されています。この 3 つの素材が、人の手を介して無限の形に変化していき、やきものが完成するということを表しています。
店名は、「山=土」からできる「花=やきもの」と解釈し、太古より恩恵を授かったよりプリミティブな素材が姿を変え、花のように儚くも美しいやきものになる様子をとても神秘的な行為と捉え、 このような名前になっています。
YAMA NO HANA’s logo is based on the three main materials used in ceramics: earth, water, and stone. The logo represents these three materials that be infinitely manipulated into different forms – until the object is fired.
The name YAMA NO HANA means ‘Flower of the Mountain’. We interpret the ‘mountain’ as the earth or clay; and the ‘flower’ as the fired outcome.
